French restaurant Metronome in Makati announces permanent closure

Metronome is closing permanently.

The modern French restaurant, located in Legazpi Village, Makati, released a statement via social media, Monday, regarding its closure.

"It is with deep regret that we announce the permanent closure of Metronome as a business," Metronome's statement read. "It was a fun five years and we thank everyone for being a part of that."

The restaurant did not mention the reason for its closure. It however said that its facilities remain fully intact and ready to operate, and interested parties may contact info@restaurantmetronome.com for more information.

Back in May, Metronome first announced its indefinite closure, but told patrons to stay tuned regarding its reopening.

This was after Metronome's Executive Chef Miko Calo resigned from her post in April this year.

Metronome first opened in 2019 and has been recognized locally and abroad, including being named on the 50 Best Discovery list in November 2022 alongside other Philippine restaurants like Toyo Eatery, Mecha Uma, Gallery by Chele, Helm, Antonio's, and Hapag.

The 50 Best Discovery has described Metronome's dining room as "good taste epitomised," and its food "equally well-executed."
