'Lumpia Queen' Abi Marquez collabs with Uncle Roger for a lumpia cooking video

It’s two foodie icons in one video!

On X (formerly Twitter), Uncle Roger, real name Nigel Ng, shared his collaboration video with Abi Marquez, where the Lumpia Queen taught him how to cook lumpiang shanghai the Filipino way.

In the video, Abi introduced Uncle Roger to certain Filipino ingredients and condiments, such as a Filipino brand soy sauce and banana ketchup.

Of course, the Malaysian content creator also added his signature ingredient, MSG, into the lumpia mixture.

When it was time to try the lumpia they cooked, Uncle Roger’s verdict about the dish was “crispy on the outside and nice and tender on the inside.”

The video ended with Uncle Roger reintroducing himself as Tito Roger while wearing a Barong Tagalog.

Last month, Abi surprised her followers with a video starring Filipino-American rapper and singer Saweetie with a cooking video of salmon sinigang.

In May, Abi received the People’s Voice Winner in the General Social: Food & Drinks category of the 28th Annual Webby Awards.

Abi was also nominated for the James Beard 2024 Media Awards in the same month.
