Shake Shack PH turns 5 with a limited-time anniversary menu of Sisig-inspired burger, fries

It’s been five glorious years since Shake Shack opened its first Philippine outpost in Global City, so to celebrate the milestone, the international burger chain created an anniversary menu celebrating one of the most beloved dishes in the country: Pampanga's Sisig.

Check out the Crackle Shack Burger and Crackle Shack Fries. From their names alone, expect to die for crunch and a play of flavors inside your mouth.

The Crackle Shack Burger (P385) is made with an all-natural Angus beef patty topped with sisig sauce, red onion, green chilli, and crispy bagnet chicharron.

While the beef patty remains faithful to Shake Shack’s recipe, the Sisig sauce makes all the difference — it’s a harmonious blend of savory, tangy, and slightly spicy flavors, reminiscent of the rich, sizzling goodness of Sisig.

On the other hand, the Crackle Shack Fries (P290) are crinkle-cut fries smothered generously with the sisig sauce, red onion, spicy green chilli, and crispy bagnet chicharron. If you eat this with your eyes shut, it could pass as a legit sisig with the presence of chicharron.

The offerings are a Shake Shack Philippines exclusive that are only available from May 10 through July 10.

Since 2019, Shake Shack has opened in seven locations in Metro Manila, expanded the menu to include juicy chicken sandwiches (white and dark meat!), an exclusive Ube Shake. In 2023, they even had a one-day collaboration with with Toyo Eatery

Choosing to champion the great ol' sisig for its 5th birthday is the best decision.

In 2018, the Angeles City government proclaimed sisig as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage,” officially claiming it as an original Kapampangan creation.

The traditional pork sisig was originally made of boiled pig’s ears and tail mixed with onions and dressed in spicy vinegar. It’s commonly enjoyed as bar chow, or “pulutan,” which perfectly accompanies alcoholic drinks.

The perfect accompaniment as we toast to Shake Shack Philippines' 5th birthday in the Philippines! Cheers to that!
