Ed Sheeran gets a taste of Filipino food with Margarita Fores
Looks like Ed Sheeran made the most of his visit to the Philippines.
Apart from his karaoke stint, the English singer was also able to feast on Filipino food.
On Instagram, Margarita Fores shared a photo with the English singer and expressed her delight at having spent time with Ed.
"So blessed to have met you and shared Steak and Frice and Filipino food with you, Ed Sheeran," Asia's Best Female Chef of 2016 wrote.
They feasted at Steak and Frice, the newest restaurant of her son, Amado.
The BGC restaurant is known for including Filipino favorite rice with the usual steak and French fries combo. And because Fores is a known advocate for Filipino food, the menu includes colors of local cuisine and culture, including a Filipino take on the classic Gougères called Cheese Pimiento Puffs and Onion Flowers with Dad's Basketball Sauce.
Ed Sheeran was in town for a concert at the SMDC Concert Grounds last Saturday and had a full Filipino experience, including going karaoke singing. Ben&Ben performed as his special guest and together, they did a duet of the Pinoy band's hit "Maybe The Night."
This is Ed's 3rd time in the Philippines, having performing in Manila in 2015 and 2018. He appeared in an episode of "All-Out Sundays" in 2021.
