What is lekei-style ramen and where can you try it in Metro Manila?

Ramen Nagi collaborates with Japan's critically acclaimed restaurant Musashi-ya for a 10th anniversary special

Ramen Nagi is celebrating 10 years in the Philippines, so the ramen joint is collaborating with critically acclaimed restaurant, Musashi-ya, from Japan for a lekei-style pork bone ramen.

For a limited time, Filipino foodies and ramen enthusiasts can get their hands on the unique bowl of ramen, which features a rich aromatic pork broth, thick, straight noodles, and textural additions like thickly sliced chashu pork, spinach, and nori.

Originating from Yokohama, lekei ramen requires exquisite skill to prepare and luckily it's exactly what Chef Fujisaki of Musashi-ya has to offer.

Musashi-ya's pork bone ramen uses the Yokohama-style technique to achieve its distinct flavor by using pork meat and bones in their purest forms, with large amounts of pork offal cooked over non-stop high flame.

You can try the Iekei-style ramen personally prepared by Chef Fujisaki, as he is set to do a kitchen takeover at Ramen Nagi Greenbelt 3 today Friday, serving only 150 bowls of the limited king.

For those who won't be able to make it on Friday, fret not. The delectable Iekei-style pork bone ramen will be available in all Ramen Nagi branches nationwide starting from January 22 to February 28.

Headed by Chef Fujisaki, Musashi-ya first came to rise in Kichijoji, Japan, and has since grown to ten additional stores, four of which are located in Tokyo and one in Shanghai, China.
