Bretman Rock comes up with new ice cream flavor for Golden Gays' benefit
In celebration of Filipino-American History Month, Bretman Rock has partnered with ice cream brand Wanderlust Creamery based in Los Angeles for a collaboration flavor, "Da Fruity Salad," which was inspired by the content-creator's favorite childhood dessert in the Philippines.
The proceeds of this collaboration will be donated to Golden Gays, a non-profit organization of older gay men established in Manila in the '70s by Justo Justo.
On Instagram, Bretman shared his experience working at Wanderlust Creamery and serving customers his "Da Fruity Salad" flavor.
"I just be doing side missions nowadays," he wrote in the caption.
"I had so much fun at [Wanderlust Creamery] serving [my] ice cream flavor[,] which I call 'Da Fruity Salad' [to] celebrate Filipino American Heritage Month," he added.
In August, Bretman was in the Philippines to hold a belated birthday celebration in Palawan, where he tried fire dancing.
For his cousin Kiefer's birthday in Manila, internationally renowned drag queen Taylor Sheesh gave a private performance of "Cruel Summer" by Taylor Swift in their hotel room.
During his recent visit to the country, Bretman was applauded by netizens for effortlessly promoting Philippine tourism through his social media platforms. —Hermes Joy Tunac/KG, GMA Integrated News
