Without further ado, here are the must-try food from Malabon.
1. Okoy
For a nice appetizer, head to the Concepcion Market to meet JR, the Okoy King of Malabon.
He serves crunchy and filling deep-fried fritters made from shrimp, vegetables, and flour, just for P50! You can also pour some vinegar for better flavor.
2. Pancit Malabon
When in Malabon, it's a no-brainer that you should try its all-time favorite dish: Pancit Malabon.
To enjoy this popular dish for just P100, visit the restaurant of Milagros Flores on General Luna Street.
Milagros offers a unique pansit variety, which uses thin rice noodles mixed with a signature orange sauce. You can also try some of her pichi-pichi!
3. Valencia Triangulo
Last but not the least, have a taste of Valencia Triangulo, a turon-like street food, for dessert.
Aling Tessie sells them for P20 each on Flores Street. The delicacy is made from bananas, jackfruit, and rice crispies coated in brown sugar.
