This gotohan in Batangas is famous for using 'dinosaur-like' ingredient

Now that the rainy season has begun, hot meals like porridge and congee are once again in vogue among Filipinos.

In fact, there's a popular goto place in San Juan, Batangas that became viral for the one-of-a-kind goto it serves.

As seen in Mav Gonzales's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, each goto bowl is filled with a rich soup and generous toppings of meat and innards.

But its star ingredient is the huge beef ribs producing from the bowl, which was dubbed "dinosaur-like" by customers.

"Lahat ng parte ng baka na pwede mong [isama] lahat ay niluluto namin," said Oliver Marasigan, the owner of Oliver's Goto.

"Ang kakaiba naman sa akin ay luto sa kahoy," he added. "Tradisyon pa natin noong una pa."

The business has been attracting patrons even from far-away places, like Metro Manila and other provinces.

Two hours after opening, the goto place has already consumed around 100 kilograms of beef.

"Talaga pong authentic na gotong Batangas," said one customer.

"Ang sarap pala. talagang mapapa 'mmm' ka sa sarap!" said another.
