Vanessa Hudgens says she put her pescatarian diet on hold in the Philippines: 'I'm only here now'

Even Vanessa Hudgens could not resist the delicious food the Philippines is known for!

In an interview with GMA Integrated News, the Hollywood actress said that she even broke her longtime pescatarian diet all for chicken adobo.

“I am pescatarian and I haven't eaten chicken in like nine years. And in Palawan, I was like, ‘You know, I'm only here now. There's fresh chicken adobo right in front of me and I'm just gonna have to do it. I have to!’ I owe that to myself,” she said.

“So I broke my pescatarian lifestyle for chicken adobo and I'm so glad that I did. It's worth it,” she added with a big smile.

Aside from exploring Palawan, Vanessa also explored the “really cool, interesting nightlife scene” in the city.

Among the hangout areas she visited was Poblacion.

“I love like, underground, like off-the-beaten-path bars and I got to go to a couple in Poblacion,” she said.

“There was so much character and there was so much artistry and thought that went into these places that like, it's really unique and really special,” she added.

The actress and singer came to the country to film a travel documentary, slated to be directed and produced by Paul Soriano. She was also named a Global Tourism Ambassador for the Philippines.
