3 new burger joints have just opened in the Philippines
Love burgers? Not one, but three, burger brands have opened in the Philippines this March.
Here's what's new for Pinoy burger lovers out there:
1. Burger Beast
After much success with their online and pop-up stores, Burger Beast has put a store at the 4/F Uptown Food Hall, Uptown Mall, BGC, Taguig City.
Best known for the Umami Burger (P249) and Truffle Burger (P329), Burger Beast sets itself apart from the multitude of burger shops out there with its creative and unique combination of flavors.
In fact, Chef Carlo Miguel calls the Uptown Mall store his "burger lab," where he intends to create and test new burger offerings before rolling them out in their cloud kitchens. Think Kimchi Bacon Cheese Burger, or perhaps the Balsamic Blue Cheese Burger.
Still, don't sleep on the "classics" including the Crispy Chicken Sandwich (P179), which features a crispy and juicy chicken fillet topped with American cheese, tangy pickles and a secret sauce between buttery brioche buns, and the heavy hitter Double Cali Smash Burger (P289), with two signature smashed patties cooked to perfection on a hot grill, creating a crispy crust on the outside and a juicy center. The patties are then topped with melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, onions, and tomatoes for that extra crunch and bite of freshness.
Burger Beast is open from 10am to 10pm. It's still available on GrabFood and foodpanda and for Pasig residents, its pop-up at Capitol Commons is still up until May.
2. Bored & Hungry
After popping up several times in the past year, America's best burger Bored & Hungry has finally settled down with a permanent store at Powerplant's The Grid Food Market in Rockwell. It is, in fact its first branch in all of Asia!
Hailing from Long Beach, California, Bored & Hungry is the first NFT (Non-Fungible Token) themed restaurant in the U.S.
Been meaning to try Bored & Hungry? The Bored OG burger (P395) should give you the low-down. It contains two patties and cheese, along with the special sauce, pickles, and onions.
Truly hungry? Get the combo (P595) which has the burger along with fries and soda.
Bored & Hungry is at Stall 7 at The Grid Food Market, which is located on R2 level expansion in Powerplant Mall, Rockwell.
3. MrBeast Burgers
Global YouTube sensation Jimmy Donaldson, known as “MrBeast,” has brought MrBeast Burgers to Philippine shores. It's hot of the grill the MrBeast literally opened just last Wednesday.
The American cloud kitchen partnered locally with JustKitchen Philippines, a virtual kitchen operator founded by food service industry professionals for delivery-only restaurants. Meaning: You can only get MrBeast through delivery, in the comforts of your home.
While MrBeast (starts at P245) are known for its smash-burger style, with patties smashed on the grill, cooked to deliver twice the flavor in one dish, it also has on offer the crispy chicken tender sandwich (P250), a grilled cheese sandwich (P195) and a whole out more.
Available via GrabFood, MrBeast has two cloud kitchens — in Makati and Malate —which can service within an 8km radius.
