Google celebrates iconic Filipino dish, adobo

Researchers will be pleasantly surprised as popular search engine, Google, on Wednesday celebrates one of the most popular Filipino dishes... the adobo.

The Google doodle features two kids take in wafts of a meal of adobo and white rice with the ingredients that include garlic, bay leaves, and sauce.

The adobo has numerous variants that can be found in different parts of the country.

The Filipino dish may contain meat, seafood, or vegetables marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaves, and black peppercorns.

The ingredients are cooked in oil, left to simmer in its marinade.

Searches via Google today, to say the least, can be distracting with this delicious dish showing up on the screen. But, why not, we should celebrate adobo. -- BAP, GMA Integrated News
