Zomato says goodbye as it stops operations in the Philippines

Zomato has officially stopped operations in the Philippines.

The announcement can be seen on the restaurant aggregator's website, marking the end of an era.

"Goodbye, Metro Manila," it read. "It has been a great run but we have, sadly, stopped our operations here! You can still explore dine-in restaurants and order amazing food on Zomato in India and UAE!"

Zomato Manila went online in 2013, making the Philippines its first market in Southeast Asia. It has since served as a guide for everyone looking for restaurants to eat at.
