From Poblacion, NoKal reopens in Chino Roces, Makati

Remember when NoKal closed its doors in 2020 and promised to be back “stronger and better?”

Well, the crowd favorite fulfills its promise of a comeback today, Oct. 26! “Lokals of NoKal” may visit the new location of this New York-inspired resto-bar at the basement of Makati Cinema Square on Chino Roces Avenue!

Thanks to the partners Marco Viray, Lee Watson, Raul Fores, and Jason Soong, “Lokals of NoKal” have something nostalgic and fresh to look forward to as they relaunch in a thrilling new location.

From new, exciting cocktail variants such as “Studio 54,” which has a mini disco ball, to classic go-to’s like the “NoKal Burger,” patrons are in for a treat!

Aside from new cocktails and food selections, NoKal is leveling up its sound system by onboarding the D&B Audiotechnik sound system.

“It actually might be the first thing you will notice when you walk in, it just sounds so good without hurting the ears,” Music and Programming head Jason Soong told the press members.

NoKal, which stands for North of Kalayaan [Avenue] was among Poblacion's hottest spots, not to be missed when doing the popular “Pob Crawl.” The well-lit neon pink “NOKAL” signage became synonymous with “good food, good music, and good company" — until the pandemic forced it to shut down.

But no matter. NoKal is reopening today! Head on to the basement of Makati Cinema Square this week as the bar debuts its themes “Futuristic Disco (Thursday), “Basement Grooves” (Friday), and “Disco Inferno” (Saturday).

NoKal is open from Wednesday through Saturday from 8 pm to 5 am. — LA, GMA News
