Disney shares chicken adobo recipe to mark Filipino-American History Month

Did anyone say adobo? Here’s Mickey Mouse and his friends with their own take on the Filipino dish.

On social media, Disney shared an adorable photo of Mickey, Donald Duck, and Goofy looking giddy as they held a bowl of adobo and white rice.

“Chicken adobo is a popular Filipino dish, and each family has their own way of making it,” the post said, adding that “Filipino adobo is salty and sweet.”

This post from Disney came in celebration of Filipino-American History Month, which happens every October.

As of writing, the post has garnered over 180,100 likes on Instagram. It has also been showered with gratitude from Pinoys thanking Disney for the representation they gave Filipinos.

Adobo has always been a Filipino staple. Even Pinoys in the United States make sure to cook it every once in a while. This includes Vanessa Hudgens, who said it isn’t Christmas without it.
