Barangay in Mandaluyong makes giant flag cake to mark Philippine Independence Day
Barangay Malamig in Mandaluyong City has made a giant flag cake that can feed up to 1,500 residents to mark the Philippines' 124th Independence Day.
According to a report by DZBB Super Radyo correspondent Luisito Santos, the chocolate cake measures five feet in width, nine feet in length, and one foot in height. It was made by at least 10 people in a week.
Inspired by the Philippine flag, the barangay chairman said the cake is one of their ways to thank and remember the sacrifices of our national heroes.
As seen in photos shared by Santos, residents have already lined up with their containers to get a taste of the dessert.
