Randy's Donuts temporarily closes Manila shop, to reopen in June

Barely a month after opening in Metro Manila, Randy's Donuts just announced it will temporarily close its Metro Manila shop as it replenishes ingredients from the US.

“We would like to inform Randy’s lovers that we will re-open as soon possible and will update them regularly. We will also add more flavors to our existing menu,” the company said in a statement.  “We are extremely grateful to our customers for their enthusiastic and warm response to the entry of this iconic brand from LA.”

In February, Randy's Donuts announced it will open its first Manila store come April.

It didn't open until a month later, on May 10 at the Uptown Parade in BGC, Taguig, and by then, Filipinos were more than excited to get their hands on the fluffier, larger pastries from LA. How excited were we? Randy's reports having sold more than 70,000 donuts since opening day! No wonder the replenishment!

"We are extremely grateful to our customers for their enthsiastic and warm response to the entry of this iconic brand from LA," the statement continues.

Randy's Donuts will reopen in June with more flavors and new varieties on top of all-time favorites (like the Classic Glazed Raised and deluxe), fancy and premium varities (like S'mores and Apple Fritter). — LA, GMA News
