New on the menu: 8 delicious food items restaurants introduced this month

New year, new food items!

Diets and health resolutions will have to wait as several restaurants and food joints introduce new treats and delicious dishes this month, as they kickstart 2021 into high gear.

Among those who have introduced new items on their menu include Red Ribbon, Jollibee, Subway, KFC, Dairy Queen, and J.Co!

1. Red Ribbon's bread rolls

As though their cakes weren't enough, Red Ribbon has introduced a new line of bread rolls this January!

There's the classic bread rolls (P70), which can be paired with almost anything, but they are also so soft and buttery, you'll want to eat them on its own.

There's also the chocolate bread rolls, made with Red Ribbon's signature chocolate taste, for sweet tooths, and completing the lineup are the raisin bread rolls. Both of these flavored bread snacks start at P65 per pack.

They're available in Red Ribbon stores in Luzon and will soon be available in branches in Visayas and Mindanao. Order through any of their operating stores, Red Ribbon's FB Messenger, or if you're in Metro Manila and Montalban, Rizal, you may call 87777. The items are also available on GrabFood, FoodPanda, and LalaFood App.

2. Yellow Cab Hawaiin pizza in thin crust

You know what's makes a strong case for the pineapples on pizza argument? Yellow Cab's Hawaiian pizza in thin crust. Yep, the pizzeria is making its NY-style original crust available to its Hawaiian pizza, with the same edge-to-edge toppings, too!

A box starts at P249 and is available in 9”, 12”, or 15” classic and signature Edge-to-Edge.

Order through any of their stores, through their website, or through their Metro Manila hotline 8-789-9999.  Also available via GrabFood, foodpanda, and LalaFood.

3. KFC's Chili Con Queso Bucket Fries

KFC is taking their Crispy Fries to the next level by adding more savory flavors! If you're a fan of cheese — and let's admit it, who's not a fan of cheese? — check out the new Chili Con Queso Bucket Fries. It's made better because it's topped with chili con carne and velvety cheese sauce.

Order through any KFC branches or through their number 88-87-88-88. You can also visit their website, or download the KFC PH app. You can also have it delivered via GrabFood and FoodPanda.

4. Red Ribbon's Mango Sunrise Cake

Adding to the list of their cakes Red Ribbon's newest Mango Sunrise cake made with soft chiffon cake layered and topped with mango cream and mango chunks.

It's a new and refreshing sweet treat you can serve at celebrations, you know, to add a little health halo to your handa. It starts at P490 (junior size).

You can order through any of their operating stores, through Red Ribbon's FB Messenger, or if you're in Metro Manila or Montalban, Rizal, call them at 87777. The items are also available on GrabFood, FoodPanda, and LalaFood App.

5. Jollibee's Ube Macapuno Pie

Adding to Jollibee's roster of sweet and savory pies is also a testament to ube's stay power. The Ube Macapuno Pie blends the complementing flavors of ube and coconut in a golden-crusted pie.

The Ube Macapuno Pie is available at Jollibee Luzon stores for only P30 solo, P89 for 3 Pies To-Go, and P175 for 6 Pies To-Go. Don't worry folks in Visayas and Mindanao. The new menu item will come at you beginning February 8.

You can order through the Jollibee Delivery App, through their website,  their number #87000,  or through several food delivery apps including GrabFood, foodpanda, and LalaFood!

6. Dairy Queen's coffee blizzard cake and new ice cream flavors

More sweet treats, this time with coffee!

Dairy Queen just introduced its Frozen Latte Fest line adding two new ice cream premium coffee flavors to the lineup: The Frozen Cashew Latte is a lovely nutty affair while Frozen Mocha Cheesecake Blizzard is as sinful as its name suggests. The two new flavors are also available as Blizzard Cakes and Parfaits.

7. Subway's cheesy garlic bread

Cheesy sandwiches are one of the best comfort foods out there, don't you agree? And Subway just introduced a new sub to prove just that.

The Ultimate Cheese Garlic Bread (P149) is an ooey-gooey affair balanced with the zing of garlic. If a sub is a tad too much, there is also the ultimate toastie — open-faced sammies for P89.

You can order through any of their stores or have your sandwiches delivered through food delivery apps.

8. Bottle J.Coffee Iced beverages

For those who are looking for new coffee beverages, J.COFFEE just launched a to-go bottle version of their iced beverages. The 500ml drinks starts at P150 per bottle.

The bottled versions are currently available in Luzon stores only for dine-in and take-out stating January 2021.

You can order through any J.Co branches in Luzon or through any of their partner online delivery apps.
