This 65-year-old lumpia house in Quiapo is a favorite spot among Black Nazarene devotees
A 65-year-old lumpia house in Quiapo is a favorite spot among devotees who have tirelessly spent hours of devotion during the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
On Saturday, devotees were seen swarming Globe Lumpia House, a hole in the wall spot on Raon Street.
What's another short wait time if it means being able to have your fill of the popular P25-lumpia, replenishing some energy back into their system?
Globe Lumpia House has a lumpiang sariwa or fresh vegetable spring rolls made with heart of plum or ubod, topped with crushed peanuts, garlic and their flavorful sauce.
One of the staff from Globe Lumpia House said that there are no secret ingredients. What makes theirs such a longstanding favorite, is the freshness of its ingredients.
Globe Lumpia House recommends consuming the lumpia within four hours upon purchase, which isn't a problem at all. After hours in procession — and with fresh ingredients in the mix — devotees can and have easily scarfed them down.
Globe Lumpia House also offers empanada for P20 each and if that's not enough and you want something for dessert they also have brownies for P20.
In an interview with Super Radyo dzBB, Manila Police District director Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco said more or less 500,000 individuals joined the activities related to the religious event.
