Looking for fun new holiday dishes? Here’s an easy recipe for Fish Morcon Hubad
Morcon is a delicious meat roll stuffed with sausage or hotdogs, carrots, pickles, cheese, and egg.
Chef Jose Sarasola just shared a “hubad” version of this Filipino holiday favorite on “Unang Hirit” using fish fillet served with delicious toppings and a creamy white sauce.
To make Fish Morcon Hubad, you’ll need the following ingredients:
Fish fillet
Bread crumbs
Lemon
Butter
Luncheon meat
Hotdog
Hard-boiled egg
Evaporated milk
Cornstarch
Cheese
Onion
Garlic
Carrot
Egg
Butter
Salt
Pepper
1. Season the fish fillet with lemon, salt, and pepper.
2. After this, dip it in egg and breadcrumbs, then fry it in a pan until it’s golden brown.
3. Melt some butter in a pan, then add garlic, onion, carrot, and celery.
4. Once the carrots are softened, add your luncheon meat and hotdog.
5. Take a sauce pan and melt your cheese with evaporated milk and a little cornstarch.
6. Now for the fun part: Plating your Fish Morcon Hubad. It’s as simple as laying the toppings on the fish, then carefully pouring the white sauce on top.
