Ever heard of Bachigang? Try this tasty recipe for 'Baked Chicken Sinigang'
Did you know you can make baked chicken taste like sinigang just by using lemon?
To make this one-of-a-kind chicken dish with a twist, you'll only need the following ingredients:
- 1 Whole chicken
- 2 Lemon
- Soy sauce (1/2 cup)
- Butter (1/2 cup)
- Lemongrass
- Ground black pepper
According to a cooking demonstration on "Unang Hirit" with Chef Adam Gonzales, the first thing you need is preheat the oven for 5-10 minutes.
Next, thoroughly marinade the chicken in lemon juice, which will give it that sour sinigang-like flavor we all love so much (Make sure to get the inside, as well). Next, add some soy sauce and black pepper, then stuff the chicken with lemongrass.
After marinating for 30 minutes, place the half-cup of butter directly on top of the chicken, then stick it in the oven and lower the temperature to 175 °F.
Bake the chicken for up to an hour, but make sure to keep a close eye on it.
