Craving anime food? This Instagram turns mouth-watering Ghibli treats into reality
If there’s one thing all anime fans can agree on, it’s this: Japanese animated food can be just as mouth-watering as food in real life.
What if we told you that there’s an entire Instagram account where the picture-perfect fictional meals served on Studio Ghibli movies become reality?
Japanese creative EN 93 Kitchen’s (@en93kitchen) IG feed is filled with comforting treats like the scrumptious bento box above from “My Neighbor Totoro.”
Feast your eyes on some real cream of vegetable soup, like in the classic “The Secret World of Arrietty,” or a hearty lunch box from “From Up on Poppy Hill.”
How about this bacon and eggs platter from “Howl’s Moving Castle”? There’s even cheese, bread and soup on the side to complete the illusion.
And, we kid you not, EN 93 Kitchen even made the real life pumpkin pot pie from “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” as well as the iconic Kiki cake featured in the film.
