No blender? Here's how to make a banana shake with just a plastic bag

No blender, no problem. You can still make delicious banana shake using only a plastic bag!

During a live episode of ECQusina on Friday, singer Marika Sasaki showed viewers just how to do it.

According to Marika, who has been residing in Japan, banana shakes have been a recent craze in the East Asian country almost the same way that milk tea has been in the Philippines.

"Hinigit niya 'yung milk tea sa Pilipinas," the Kapuso singer said. "Ganoon 'yung impact sa Japanese nung dumating ang banana shake."

She added, "Hanggang kanto yung pila noon...'yung binebenta lang na banana shake."

Marika explained that the craze was also due to the fact that the Japanese believed highly on the nutrients brought by the banana which is rich in potassium and fiber.

To make a blender-free banana shake, Marika said to simply peel a ripe banana and put it whole in a plastic bag.

You can use your own hands or a spoon to squeeze the banana so it will be flattened and turn into a mushy texture.

After squeezing the banana in the bag, add your preference of milk, be it almond milk or soy milk, and squeeze the bag again until it's mixed together.

Next, add sweeteners such as honey or sugar to your liking. After mixing it all together, just put the mixture in the freezer for five to ten minutes.

After it's all chilled up, you now have yourself a mess-free, blender-free banana shake!
