Craving for anime food? Here's where you can get some of them in real life


If you've been watching anime amid the quarantine and the dishes featured in some of shows are making you want to grab them from the screen, we can't really blame you—they just look so yummy!

The great thing is you can have some of them in real life, if you know where to look. Here's a short list of mouth-watering anime food and where you can get them to satisfy your cravings.

1. Melon Pan (Yakitate! Japan)

"Yakitate! Japan" introduced us to the fluffy yellow bread called Melon Pan. It's also been widely featured in another anime shows, such as "Shakugan no Shana."

If you are curious what it actually tastes like, you're in luck. Did you know that Japanese bakery Kumori Philippines is offering a Melon Pan that looks exactly the same as the anime version?

2. Ramen (Naruto)

Have you been binge-watching "Naruto" amid the lockdown? For sure you've seen Naruto eat his favorite bowl of Ichiraku Ramen and it's making you want one for yourself.

3. Mochi (Tamako Market)

If you want to have a bite on that mochi from "Tamako Market," you can get your hands on real ones through Mochi Creme.

Mochi Creme offers several flavors of this treat including chocolate, strawberry, mango, purple yam, blue vanilla, azuki red bean, black sesame, matcha green tea, milk tea, and cookie monster.

The price range is P79 to P84 per piece.

4. Mille Crepe Cake (Yumeiro Patissiere)

Fancy another dessert? The Mille Crepe Cake from "Yumeiro Patissiere" just looks too good to be true but did you know that you can actually get a whole cake or a slice of it from Paper Moon?

Paper Moon is offering their original Mille Crepe Cake that costs P250 for a slice and P2,500 for the whole cake.

5. Katsudon (Restaurant to Another World)

"Restaurant to Another World" features the popular Japanese dish called Katsudon—a rice bowl with pork, eggs, and veggies.

And if the anime is making you drool over this bowl of goodness, Katsu Sora offers several types of Katsudon. The cheapest one is priced at P395 per set served with tea, salad, and soup.

6. Onigiri (Food Wars)

Totsuki Culinary Academy student Megumi Tadokoro made different recipe twists on the traditional onigiri in Season 1.

This dish is a ball of rice that has different types of savory fillings inside.

You can have some of these cute rice balls for only P55 at Family Mart, which offers several flavors such as Tuna Mayo, Spam, Tori Mix, Tinapa, and Salmon.
