Want to lay off pork? Here's an easy recipe for some tasty Totsong Bangus
Totso is a stew that's cooked with tahure (fermented tofu) and tausi.
It's tasty, it's filling, and by using fish much like the way Love Añover did during Thursday morning's episode of Unang Hirit, it's healthy.
Love's recipe for "Totsong Bangus" also includes veggies to make for a solid, and super easy-to-make soup.
Prepare the following ingredients:
- Bangus
- Tofu
- Patis
- Pepper
- Vinegar
- Garlic
- Onion
- Tomato
- Ginger
- Kangkong
- Broth
- Tausi (optional)
Start by seasoning and frying your bangus, like you normally would.
Next, place your tofu in a large bowl and season it with some patis, vinegar and pepper. Make sure you wash your hands, because you're gonna use them to mash these ingredients together.
Then take a large pan and sautee the ginger, onions, garlic and tomatoes.
Once that simmers, it's time to pour in your tofu mix as well as your broth. You can also add your tausi (black beans) if you want to add a bit of flavor.
Once that starts to boil, add your fried bangus and kong kong and let it boil until the fish soaks up the flavors.
