Chef Jose Sarasola reveals the secret to a perfect chicken salpicao
Chicken salpicao is a fragrant, garlicky and peppery dish that’s perfect for lunch.
Kapuso “Kilig Chef” Nino Sarasola just did a tutorial on “Unang Hirit,” where he revealed a “secret sauce” that just gives it that extra kick once you put it in your mouth.
The first thing Chef Jose did was make some garlic chips, which was really just slicing the cloves into really thin pieces and frying them in oil.
The next step is frying up some veggies. For chicken salpicao, Chef Jose uses young corn and mushrooms that will surely add even more flavor to your dish.
Next is your chicken.
First, you chop some garlic and fry it in oil.
Chef Jose opted to use chicken breast for his salpicao because it’s healthier and packed with protein.
Season this with salt and pepper, and fry it in the oil with garlic.
While your chicken cooks, add in the corn and mushrooms, followed by some oyster sauce.
This was when Chef Jose added the “secret” ingredient, which was just really Worcestershire sauce that you can buy in most grocery stores.
Once your chicken is cooked and has soaked in all the flavor, simply put it on a place and add toppings.
Chef Jose made his salpicao look even more appetizing by sprinkling some garlic chips on top, together with some green onions and red chili flakes.
