JUST IN TIME FOR FATHER’S DAY
Uptown Mall implements strict measures for safe dining experience
Restaurants at Uptown Mall in Taguig City will implement strict safety measures as they open for dine-in customers just in time for Father’s Day.
According to Megaworld Corp., safety protocols at the restaurants in their malls include limited seating, glass barriers on tables and cashiers, and contactless payments.
These measures also include the following:
- Al fresco dining is encouraged to efficiently implement physical distancing, as well as facilitate natural ventilation and better air quality.
- Mandatory wearing of face masks, temperature checks, footwear disinfection and distributing of health checklists to customers prior to entry are implemented.
- To maintain social distancing within the dining premises, restaurants will allot only 30 percent seating capacity for dine-in.
- Floor markers are visibly placed to regulate queuing with safe distance.
- A maximum of 4 persons for every 10 square meters is allowed.
- Chairs designated for seating are placed one meter apart at all sides, and those not to be occupied are marked as such.
- Plexiglass or plastic barriers are installed at tills, tables and cashiers.
- Bakery products from self-service counters are wrapped in plastic/cellophane or paper packaging.
- Contactless payment methods are highly encouraged. Mobile wallet is preferred but customers could also tap and swipe credit or debit cards themselves.
- Cash payments should be placed on the tray provided by the cashier.
- Employees are subjected to pre-work health screening, daily monitoring and training on sanitation and disinfection.
