Add a ramen-style twist to your ordinary instant noodles with Kara David

Are you getting tired of plain, old instant noodles after over two months of quarantine?

In an episode of Pinas Sarap's "ECQusina" live on Facebook, Kara David shows you how to make your next bowl of instant noodle soup more flavorful by adding a ramen-style twist.

The best part is that all the ingredients you need could be lying in your pantry right now: Left-over carrots, left-over onion, left-over onion leaks, left-over garlic and left-over cabbage.

There are also no expert kitchen skills needed here. You just need to follow a few easy steps.

The first thing to do is make sure all your veggies are all cut up and ready.

Next is your broth: Saute your onion and garlic in some oil, then add your carrots.

Set that aside and boil your noodles. Kara put the broth powder in the water and boiled the noodles in it for about two minutes.

Set your noodles aside, as well and pour the broth into your onions and carrots. Let it boil, then add your cabbage. This is also the time to add additional seasoning or spice.

Once your soup is ready, it's time to plate!

Kara was even able to add some protein to her "ramen-style" instant noodles by boiling some eggs and setting aside some chicken adobo from earlier.

"I'm sure kapag nagluluto kayo ng chicken adobo may mga naiiwan-iwan," Kara tells homecooks. "Huwag niyong itapon! Puwede niyo pang gamitin sa ibang mga dishes niyo."

Kara David's online series teaches her fellow home cooks how to be creative with different food items amid the quarantine.

Previously, she also shared how she makes her suam na mais with three superfoods.
