Mother's Day on quarantine: 10 bakeshops that will deliver sweet delights right to your mom's doorstep
With Mother's Day well within quaratine period — ECQ lifts on May 15 and Mother's Day is on May 10 — getting mom a gift might be a wee bit challenging.
So consider a cake. It's simple, it's sweet, and it can make any meal — or merienda — feel like a celebration.
A lot of cake shops are now delivering! Below, we list 10.
1. Carlitos Catering
Carlitos Catering offers a variety of cakes for Mother's Day; the red velvet cheesecake (P1,200), tiramisu (P1,000), baked blueberry cheesecake (P1,400) and ube chiffon cake (P950) are just some of their best-sellers.

In-house deliveries are available to accessible areas from Mandaluyong but you can also pick up or use delivery services like Grab, LalaMove and Joyride.
All cakes need one day lead time for orders.
2. Fraiche Patisserie
What's become popular among cake-craving netizens during lockdown, Fraiche is accepting made-to-order 10'' cakes for Mother's Day. Available flavors include Ube Custard (P870), Mango Caramel (P920), Chocolate Decadent (P920), Strawberry Cake (P980), and Red Velvet (P980).
Get your cake and eat it too: Order through Facebook and Instagram send in your name, date needed, cake flavor, and delivery address.
Deliveries are done through Lalamove or any courier with insulated box.
Fraiche has a 2 to 3-day lead time, so best to place your orders early.
By the way, you can put a nice dedication for your mom on the cake by making a special request.
3. M Bakery
Want something extra special for mom? The famous M Bakery from New York has opened its doors for delivery and pick-ups. And although they are on limited menu, cakes are definitely on the agenda.
The 9'' whole cakes are available in several flavors including Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream (P1,850), Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream (P1,850), Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream P2,200, Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Buttercream (P2,200), and Red Velvet Cake, Carrot Cake Ube Cake (P3,250).
Get your cake and eat it too: Place your orders in advance by calling +63917 6331718 or +63918 6417990 and arrange for pick-up or delivery through Lalamove or Grab.
If you're picking up, orders must be placed at least one day ahead from pick-up schedule. And because M Bakery is adhering to community quarantine guidelines and social distancing measures, it is following a strict pickup schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at the M Bakery store in BGC between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
4. Red Ribbon
If you don't want to spend too much but still want to celebrate mom, the ever-reliable bakeshop just opened a lot more branches right on time for Mother's Day.
The mocha dedication cake sounds sweet and the black forest is as special as ever, but the ube bloom is it for us. It's like the dolled up version of Red Ribbon's famously delicious ube roll — perfect for mom.
Get your cake and eat it too: Here is a link of nearly 500 stores and their services. Delivery hotline is still 8-7777, but if delivery isn't offered by the store nearest you, you can arrange for delivery with Grab Food or Food Panda.
Starting Monday, May 4 until May 8, customers can place orders in advance through this link. Apart from delivery, there is a pick-up option, too.
5. Kumori
Is mom craving for those fluffy Japanese cheesecakes? Loveable Japanese bakeshop Kumori is available for delivery and included in their menu are the Banana Charlotte (P995), Choco Bloom Cake (P575), Saku-Saku Chocolate (P1,100) , and Light Double Cheesecake (P550).
Get your cake and eat it too: Place orders via the Kumori website, pay via BDO or MetroBank and email proof of payment to kum@relish-group.com.
Kumori has a three-day lead time to fulfill orders and post settlement of charges since they are on skeletal workforce. They also have limited supply of ingredients and their production capacity is low.
The Kumori team have in-house deliveries for select areas in Makati, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig, Pasig and Muntinlupa.
For areas that are not covered by their in-house deliveries, customers can book on-demand delivery service such as Grab and Lalamove.
6. Naked Patisserie
Naked Patisserie cakes are on a whole different level. Their cheesecakes are already too beautiful to eat, while the made-to-order cakes are straight out of a fantasy.
The Pick Me Up Espresso Chocolate Cheesecake (P2,550) looks and sounds serious, while the Chocoholic Truffle Cake (P2,450) looks divine. There are many others available: Strawberries N' Cream G2 (P2,650), Chocnut Cheesecake (P1,950), Chocolate Chip Calamansi Cheesecake (P2,150), Toasted Coconut Cream Dulce De Lche (P2,150), Pucker Up Lemon Cheesecake (P2,150), Signature Red Velvet Cake (P2,150).
Get your cake and eat it too: Place your orders through Instagram message, the website or via Viber +63945 4685141, +63 965 139 6609. Make it early as Naked Patisserie have a few slots left for Mother's Day.
7. Cafie Bakery
For those who are in Bulacan, you can have your Mother's Day cakes from Cafie Bakery, including the very lockdown-trendy Dalgona Coffee Cheesecake! Their cheesecake flavors are available in three sizes beginning at 6".
Get your cake and eat it too: Send them a message on Facebook or Instagram. You will then be asked to fill out a form. Wait for an acknowledgement receipt before proceeding with your payment.
Production of the cakes will be done after the payment and the cakes will be delivered on your preferred date via Pabili Bulacan or Lalamove. Pick-up at their headquarters can also be done.
On regular operations, Cafie delivers to Quezon City, Makati, Taguig or any areas that can be reached by Grab or Lalamove services however since the enhanced community quarantine has been lifted, they are temporarily catering customers from Bulacan.
8. Lia's Cakes in Season
The popular bakeshop in Kapitolyo is open for delivery! Let your mom be the judge and make try a slice — or four — of the famous avocado cake you can't stop raving about.
Get your cake and eat it too: Swing by Lia's website, choose from the available products, and fill out an order form. Same-day deliveries are possible as long as you place your orders before 9am. You can pay via BDO, BPI, or COD, with Lia's requiring bank deposits to show transaction receipts. Deliveries can be expected between 8am-5pm.
And yes! Pick-ups are an option too.
9. The Taste of Czaczacza
Make your moms feel extra special with The Taste of Czaczacza's Mother's Day promo: Every purchase of an 8" cake (or two 6" cakes), comes with a free flower.
It has a variety of flavors on offer, but we're eyeing the Chocolate rhum (6: P600, 8: P950).

10. Daniel's Bakeshop
Daniel's chocolate cake is, hands down, the best. And while there are other cake flavors on offer too, you might want to surprise your mom with Daniel's white loaf. It's actually just bread, but with thick slices and a consistency of cake, it's almost like having cake.
Daniel's delivers cakes on the same day they are baked, so customers can be assured of freshness.
