How to make a mango-malunggay smoothie like Lyn Ching

What if we told you there’s a tasty, refreshing way to incorporate leafy greens into your daily quarantine diet?

"Unang Hirit" host Lyn Ching just shared the recipe for her favorite mango-malunggay smoothie and it looks delicious!

According to Lyn’s demonstration on the morning show, you’ll only need a blender, ice, milk, mango, sugar and malunggay.

Make sure you watch the full video to get the portions right, as well as get a better understanding of how you can experiment with different ingredients and make your favorite drinks more nutritious.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is no proof that malunggay can combat the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

However, it is known as a "superfood" rich in nutrients and minerals that can help prevent several lifestyle-related ailments such as cardiovascular diseases, heart problems, high blood pressure, and cancer.

Another great thing about malunggay is that it's easy to find and it is almost tasteless when coupled with mango.

Happy blending! —Margaret Claire Layug/MGP, GMA News
