Get your fix of Pugon-Roasted Chicken at this local eatery in Rizal
When people hear the word "pugon," they would immediately think of fresh pandesal being baked in a furnace.
But a local eatery in Tanay, Rizal, wants to change that mindset with its pugon-baked meals.
In an episode of Pinoy MD, comedian Divine Tetay visited "Lutong Pugon," a restaurant that bakes all of its dishes in traditional pugon style.
"Lahat ng pagkain namin, luto sa pugon. Kaya may smoky flavor siya na nagpapasarap sa lasa," said Aya Tiongco, the owner of Lutong Pugon.
Aside from their gourmet pizzas, the restaurant is known for its bestseller: the Pugon-Roasted Chicken.
"It's so flavorful. Super. This one, nag-aagaw yung tamis at asim. Ang galing," Divine said.
