Good News reveals four spots on Banawe Street where food lovers can satisfy their Taiwanese, Chinese and Japanese cravings.
1. A 'fast food' bento place at Banawe corner Maria Clara Street
Craving for a quick bento meal? This Taiwanese bento place at Banawe corner Maria Clara Street might just be what you're looking for.
Shuin, known for its smoked duck meals, aims to combine bento meals with the convenience of fast food.
What's unique about this place is that customers can order bento meals in 'carinderia style.'
The Signature Smoked Duck Bento meal is priced at P240, while their Smoked Chicken, Liempo and Porkchop bento meals are P195.
2. A sushi restaurant on Calamba Street
Heads up, sushi lovers! Oomori Japanese Cuisine on Calamba Street serves delicious, torched sushi. It also gives customers the chance to watch the intricate process of sushi-making.
"We started out at a food park that served sushi roles in Valenzuela, and we wanted our concept to be Japanese. Since 2018, we've had this branch in Banawe," said Blizzeth Lee, the owner of Oomori.
The place serves Salmon-wrapped Aburi with Truffle oil (P350), and Flamed Salmon Nigiri (P300). Customers can also choose from a chirashi bowl (P300) and sushi burger (P280)
3. A vegetarian cafe at Banawe Street
Looking for healthier options? Caffe Dolce, a Taiwanese place on Banawe Street serves delicious vegetarian food.
According to the report, foodies can get their fix of Asian-Western cuisines here.
Caffe Dolce's signature dish is the laksa noodles (P325) which are made with calamares and breaded shrimp, among other ingredients.
The place also serves Shabu Shabu (P315), Tropical Fruit Pizza (P405), Egg Roll (P260), and Strawberry Lover Honey Toast (P335).
4. A fresh seafood restaurant at Banawe corner Del Monte Street
Those craving for fresh seafood can look no further. On Banawe corner Del Monte Street is a Chinese restaurant that serves fresh seafood meals on a Chinese lauriat.
The Sha Tin Courtyard Chinese Bistro prides itself on its fresh seafood, a staple in many authentic Chinese dishes
"Hindi raw masyadong marami may shipment dito na live eh. Isa sa concepts ang mga live shipments," said Sha Tin manager Julius Dela Peret, referring to the restaurant's concept of freshly-sourced seafood.
Some of Sha Tin Courtyard's dishes include: the Superb Abalone Stew (P820), Sizzling Eggplant in Sizzling Eggplant in Thai Sauce (P480), and Fried Scallop and Taro (P480).
