This hidden whisky bar in Makati has a special lounge where you can wash the week away with a drink

As though Makati’s Mandalay Whisky and Cigars isn’t great enough, here it comes again partnering with Macallan for the Macallan Lounge, a proper venue for whisky enthusiasts — or tired urbanites looking to wash their stresses away, or at least a proper refuge from the chaos and noise of the city.

A small, private space, The Macallan lounge feels like your mayamang tito’s sala: plush leather sofas, dark wooden bookcases, warm lighting, all inspired by key design elements of The Macallan. The whisky brand has a new Distillery (launched just last June) which also serves as an inspiration to the lounge.

Couple the comfortably lux setting with an extensive selection of rare scotch whiskies and a relaxing good time is assured. On the drinks list are the 12 Year Old age statements of Sherry Oak, Double Cask and Triple Cast Matured; the Edition Series as well as hardcore finds 1824 Masters Series collection: Rare Cask, Reflexion, No.6 and M.
