AirAsia features Malagos chocolate in new in-flight meal
If you're loco for cocoa, your next in-flight meal aboard AirAsia will prove to be a special treat.
The low cost carrier on Wednesday launched a new item on their "Santan" in-flight menu, crafted by celebrity Chef JP Anglo of Sarsá.
Anglo's "Roasted Dalandan Chicken with Pimiento Sauce" joins Asean favorites like Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice, Thai Green Curry on the "Santan" hot meals menu.
“I am incredibly happy and excited to share my first dish especially made for an airline and I love it that AirAsia is literally taking Filipino home grown products and talents to greater heights," Anglo was quoted as saying in a statement shared with the press.
Passengers are encouraged to purchase the meals while they're booking their flight, but guests who have booked their flights without meals can easily add them in via the ‘Manage My Booking’ page.
In addition to the new dish, AirAsia is also expanding their in-flight merchandise with handwoven items and natural food products from artisans based in Manila, Davao, and Cebu.
AirAsia’s newest in-flight hot meals and merchandise will be available on all AirAsia domestic and international flights in the Philippines with Z2 flight code starting Thursday, April 12. — Aya Tantiangco, GMA News
