Bye-bye DIY: Pizza chain Project Pie closes all PHL locations except the one in Alabang

The fun of building your own pizza is now a lot less accessible as Project Pie closes all but one store in the Philippines.

After "four years of pizza awesomeness" the US-based pizza chain announced on social media that they will be "graduating" their stores from the Philippine market.

"As our last hoorah, Project Pie Block 28 in Alabang shall continue to operate and serve our guests," the statement read.

The team added, "It has been an awesome four years of being the only artisan pizza in the Philippines. DBE Project Pie is the first international brand to open in the Philippines ahead of highly industrialized Asean cities such as Singapore and [Hong Kong]."

The Project Pie team expressed immense gratitude to the patrons who found joy in making their own pizza in their stores.

The pizza chain drew customers in with the allure of designing your own pizza — put chunks of pineapples in there, they won't judge.

Fans took to the comments section to say their farewells.

"It's the only pizza I can finish. Don't do this to me," one user wrote.

Another declared, "We will miss your Tomas Morato branch. Project Pie is my son's favorite pizza."

"I am speechless. My number 1 favorite pizza in town left me," another said.
