Kids learn how to make pastillas de leche in Baliuag, Bulacan
Several children learned to make pastillas de leche at a mall in Baliuag, Bulacan on the weekend. And while their output don't look quite as neat as professionally made pastillas, they probably tasted just as good.
Vita’s by SC Sevilla Sweets held the pastillas-making lesson in SM City Baliwag, with the kids taught to make, slice and wrap the equivalent of 20 kilos of the sweet treat.
The children, with the help of their parents, made the pastillas in the different flavors offered by Vita's, including Oreo, ube, dayap, and Choc-Nut.
The pastillas-making event is part of SM Malls' Fusion Flavors, which happened at 22 malls nationwide in connection with the Department of Tourism's month-long celebration of food festivals, culinary tours, cook fests, and the international gastronomy congress Madrid Fusion Manila. — BM, GMA News
