Ashley Ortega in tears after receiving letter of reconciliation from mom

After three years, Ashley Ortega and her mother are on the path of reconciliation.

On Saturday’s episode of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition,” Kuya told Ashley that there was a letter from her mother waiting for her.

The actress immediately burst into tears when she read the letter.

Ashley’s mom had written: “Matagal na kitang pinatawad. Matagal na rin akong nag-aantay sa ‘yo. Tandaan mo, mahal na mahal kita, kayong mga anak ko. Ginagawa ko lahat para sa inyo kaya ganiyan ako ka-strict at maalaga. Mag-ingat ka at magdasal ka parati.”

The Sparkle star said that she’s happy her mom is watching her.

“Sana po talaga, Kuya, paglabas ko dito, magkita po kami. Pero nagpapasalamat ako na hindi na siya galit sa ‘kin,” she said.

Ashley and her Kapamilya partner, AC Bonifacio, were later evicted. They left Bahay ni Kuya, just as beauty queen and Sparkle actress Michelle Dee joins the show as a house guest.

Previously, Ashley said that she hasn’t talked to her mom for three years already and that she hopes she can forgive her.

“I think 'yung mali sa ginawa ko is I left you guys without saying anything. I thought about it for years even though OK tayo, even though OK 'yung relationship natin, I would ask myself, (if) I would leave the house, and my answer would always be yes. Hindi na ako nakapagpaalam,” she said.
