Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo get candid about maturity now that they have kids


Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo both agreed that they have grown more mature now that they have kids.

In Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras” Thursday, the couple admitted that they were a bit immature back then.

“Iba ‘yung maturity naming dalawa ngayon dahil mas—kasi noon, konting kibot, nag-aaway na kami, ‘yung gano’n. Mapatingin lang siya sa iba, nagagalit na ako, ‘yung gano’n,” Jennylyn said.

Dennis agreed, adding that they want to be role models for their kids.

“Gusto namin makita nila na ganito dapat. Dapat palaging masaya. Kailangan ipakita sa kanila kung papaano nagsu-survive ‘yung isang relationship para makita nila ‘pag laki nila kung papaano nila iha-handle ‘pag napunta na sila doon sa gano’ng klaseng sitwasyon,” he said.

“May standard,” Jennylyn added. .

During the media conference of their upcoming film, “Everything About My Wife,” the Kapuso couple also gave advice for married couples experiencing problems in their relationship.

Jennylyn said that communication is key, while Dennis’ advice is to not give up on each other despite the fights and challenges.

"Everything About My Wife" is directed by Real Florido and produced by GMA Pictures, CreaZion Studios, and Glimmer Studio. 

Its cast also includes Sam Milby, Carmi Martin, Alex Agustin, Joyce Glorioso, Polo Laurel, and Nova Villa, with the special participation of Ruby Ruiz, Donna Cariaga, Isay Alvarez, Romnick Sarmenta, and Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.

The film is coming to cinemas on February 26.
