Ruru Madrid says he doesn’t believe in '7-year itch': 'Kung para kayo sa isa't-isa, kayo talaga'

Ruru Madrid said he doesn’t believe in the “7-year itch,” a love theory suggesting that romantic relationships often face significant challenges around the seven-year mark.

In Monday’s media conference for “Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan” held in Gateway Mall 2 in Quezon City, the Primetime Action Hero said the “7-year itch” theory has no effect if you’re with someone you are meant to be with.

“Personally, hindi ako naniniwala, kasi nakasulat na ‘yan eh,” said Ruru, who is returning in his titular role in “Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan.”

“Kung para kayo sa isa’t-isa, kayo talaga,” he added.

Ruru said that it would work for him and girlfriend Bianca Umali as long as they were on the same page in their relationship.

“Kahit sino pa ang pumigil, kahit ano pang klaseng tukso, pagsubok, basta nagtutulungan kaming dalawa, lahat kakayanin,” he said.

Ruru and Bianca, whom he said he owes his success to, are set to celebrate their seventh anniversary this year.

“Kung hindi dumating si Bianca sa buhay ko, hindi ko makakamit ‘tong mga pangarap ko,” he said.

“Sabi ko nga, hindi na ako makakahanap ng ganoong klaseng tao, ‘yung suporta na binibigay niya sa akin,” he added.

In an earlier report, Ruru said he is ready to settle down with the Kapuso Prime Gem.
