Leila Alcasid, Mito Fabie hold ‘pamamanhikan’ with families
Leila Alcasid and Mito Fabie, aka Curtismith, have ticked-off “pamamanhikan” from their wedding to-do list.
On Instagram, Leila's father, Ogie Alcasid, shared photos from the "pamamanhikan" of the soon-to-wed couple.
According to the "It's Showtime" mainstay, it was a "very emotional" night.
"Thank you, Lord, for uniting all our families to celebrate the love of Mito and Leila," Ogie said.
"It was a wonderful blessing for all of us, and we are all looking forward to [your] union," he added.
In a November 2024 episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Ogie said thinking about Leila's wedding already makes him emotional.
"Inisiip ko pa lang ngayon, umiiyak na ako eh. Kasi ang tingin ko kasi sa panganay ko, kahit 27 na po siya, ang tingin ko pa rin sa kaniya is a little girl," he said.
If you didn't know, "pamamanhikan" is a Filipino pre-wedding tradition similar to the Chinese Ting Hun. It's when two families of the soon-to-wed couple unite to get to know each other before the wedding ceremony.
Leila and Mito announced their engagement in September 2024. The couple have been dating since 2019.
Following Leila and Mito's engagement, Ogie expressed his joy for the couple on Instagram.
