Tina Paner opens up on her experience as an adopted child

Tina Paner guested on Mikee Quintos' show, "Lutong Bahay," where she opened up about her experience of being an adopted child.

Mikee and Kuya Dudut visited Tina and her niece, Halle, on Tuesday's episode, where they cooked Tina's carbonara recipe.

While sampling the dish they cooked, Mikee opened up the topic of Tina being adopted, a fact that the latter said she never hid.

According to the former "That's Entertainment" star, she was adopted by her mommy Daisy Romualdez, whose sister is Tina's biological mother.

"Parang hindi ganun kadali 'yung naging relationship namin," she said of her biological mother. "Kasi 'yung time na 'yun, nasa utak ko lang tita ko siya, so dumating sa punto na, 'Bakit mo ko pinabayaan? Bakit mo ko ibinigay sa kapatid mo?"

She also shared that when she got older, she didn't know that her biological father was a police officer.

"When I was talagang 18, hindi ko alam na 'yung biological father ko is pulis. Siya pala 'yung nag-a-assist sa 'kin nung mga panahon na nag-opening ako ng isang fast food chain."

"Parang movie!" remarked Mikee

"Pero I think 'yung mga friends niya alam na 'yung in-assist, anak niya," said Tina, adding that her father must've known she was his daughter.

Mikee, for her part, praised Tina for her strength, saying, "Na-a-amaze ako personally na ang strong niyo dun sa pagharap ng lahat ng 'yun and how you handled it."

Tina rose to fame for being a part of "That's Entertainment" alongside Manilyn Reyes and Sheryl Cruz. The variety show eventually led to the formation of the iconic 80's singing trio, Triplets, comprising the three ladies.

Tina also starred in GMA youth-oriented series "Maka," which is set to return for a second season on January 25.
