Who is Dennis Trillo when no one is watching?
Dennis Trillo has starred in several movies and television shows, yet he still remains an enigma to many.
On Monday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the King of Talk pointed out that the actor is veiled by the many characters he takes on and even his funny TikTok antics can be deemed as performances in themselves.
"Dennis, sino ka ba talaga? Who are you when no one is watching?" asked Tito Boy.
The Kapuso Drama King, who is known for being protective of his personal life, told Tito Boy that he's the most ordinary person there is.
"Ako po napaka-ordinaryong tao lang. Simple lang 'yung mga kaligayahan ko. Makita ko lang na magkakasama kami sa bahay, kumpleto 'yung pamilya, makita ko lang 'yung mga ngiti sa mga mukha nila, makita ko lang na naaalagaan ko sila nang husto, parang sapat na sa akin 'yun eh," he shared.
Per Dennis, viewers may find his "Pulang Araw" character, Col. Yuta Saitoh, fearsome, but at home, he jested that he's just a regular guy whose wife also bosses him around.
"Pag dating sa bahay inuutus-utusan lang ako ng asawa ko ganun lang din, parang normal na tao lang din. Trabaho lang 'tong ginagawa ko dito, nagkataon lang siguro na talagang sineseryoso ko siya kaya nagiging convincing sa mga manonood."
As to how he's like to love, the actor shared that he's the type who forgets his own needs to ensure that his family is provided for.
"Kinakalimutan ko 'yung sarili ko para maibigay ko 'yung mga lahat ng pangangailangan nila," he said. "Emosyonal, makapag-provide nang maayos, ganun po."
Dennis has had a fruitful year. Aside from "Pulang Araw," which is now on its finale week, his movie with Ruru Madrid, MMFF entry "Green Bones," will premiere in Philippine cinemas on December 25.
Dennis is married to Kapuso Ultimate Star, Jennylyn Mercado.
The couple got engaged then married in 2021. They welcomed their first child together, Dylan, in 2022. They are also parents to Jazz, Jennylyn's son with ex-boyfriend Patrick Garica, and Calix, Dennis's son with ex-girlfriend Carlene Aguilar.
