Song Joong Ki, wife Katy Louise Saunders welcome second child

Song Joong Ki and his wife, British actress Katy Louise Saunders, have welcomed their second child.

According to a report by Soompi, the “Descendants of the Sun” actor and his wife now have a daughter, news that he announced on his fan cafe on Wednesday.

“I’m currently in Rome and it’s been just over a year since I met my first child here. I’m incredibly grateful to announce that we’ve been blessed with another beautiful baby,” Song Joong Ki said.

“Our lovely princess was born healthy, and both my wife and our baby are doing well and resting,” he added.

In July, Song Joong Ki’s agency HighZium Studio confirmed that he and Katy were expecting their second child.

The couple welcomed their firstborn, a son, in June 2023. The actor announced their marriage in January of the same year.

Aside from “Descendants of the Sun,” Song Joong Ki is best known for his roles in “Vincenzo,” “Werewolf Boy,” and “Space Sweepers," among others.

He also had a cameo appearance in the hit series "Queen of Tears" as Vincenzo.

Song Joong Ki was previously married to Song Hye Kyo. They got divorced in 2019.
