Peru's Tati Calmell shows appreciation for Chelsea Manalo following Miss Universe 2024: 'Sisterhood for life'
The Miss Universe 2024 may have ended, but Chelsea Manalo and Tati Calmell of Peru have formed a lifelong friendship.
On Instagram, the Tati shared a photo of her and Chelsea on stage during the pageant’s coronation night held on November 17 (Philippine time) in Mexico City, Mexico.
“Sisterhood for life,” Tati wrote.
“[Chelsea Manalo], my roomie, my sis!!!!!!! I couldn't ask for a better partner through this journey, the sweetest girl ever with a smile on her face!” she added.
Tati then went to thank Chelsea for “always staying positive,” and “true to herself.” She also said that she is looking forward to their time as Miss Universe Asia and Americas and expressed her excitement over their bonding in the Philippines.
“As we said at the start. We will be together till the end, now as Miss Universe Asia and Americas. Can’t wait for our time in Filipinas soon! See you soon then Chels!!!!!” Tati said.
Meanwhile, Chelsea likewise expressed her love and appreciation to Tati, whom she called “ate” in the comment section.
“Can’t wait to visit each other countries. Till the end ate, ti amo mucho!”
Chelsea and Tati formed a close bond together ahead of the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. Previously, the two shared a joint post where they flexed a hand heart pose while wearing their respective sashes.
“#PERUPPINES in the house,” Tati wrote in the caption.
“My lovely sister, Chelsea, getting to experience this journey together is such a blessing!” she added. “Love your pure heart. Ates for life!”
Meanwhile, Chelsea described Tati as her “best ate” in the competition.
Chelsea ended her Miss Universe journey in the Top 30, while Tati finished in the Top 12.
Despite not winning the crown, both ladies were among the four continental queens of the pageant, Chelsea as Miss Universe - Asia and Tati as Miss Universe - Americas.
Meanwhile, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark was crowned Miss Universe 2024. She is the first queen to wear the Filipino-made crown "The Light of Infinity" by homegrown brand Jewelmer.
