Bianca Manalo shares how she and Sherwin Gatchalian met

Bianca Manalo detailed in Mikee Quintos' show, "Lutong Bahay," how she and her boyfriend, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, met.

Mikee and Kuya Dudut visited Bianca and her sister, Kate Manalo, for the show's latest episode, showing viewers how to cook Kate's boiling shrimp and Kuya Dudut's cheese sticks. While cooking, Mikee asked Bianca how she and Sherwin first met.

According to the Sparkle star, he saw her in a show on TV and expressed his desire to meet her to a mutual contact, who also happened to be her manager.

"So, na-meet niya ako, mayor siya nun, so di ko siya pinansin tapos biglang naging single ako ulit, so congressman na siya. Nanliligaw siya ulit, sabi ko, 'Ang kulit naman nito," she said.

Per Bianca, he was also at her father's wake almost every night.

"Hanggang sa namatay 'yung daddy ko, siya 'yung first flower, tapos almost every night ng lamay nandun siya. So, sabi ko, 'Ay ang bait naman,' pero hindi ko pa rin siya sinagot."

Bianca finally said yes to Sherwin when she became single again during the time when he was already a senator.

She also shared to Mikee that she fell in love with him because of his persistence.

"Very persistent and very humble tsaka very gentleman and very mild-mannered. Kung ano 'yung iningay ko, siyang tinahimik niya, so balanced namin dalawa," she said.

During the show's "Kitchen-terrogate" portion, Mikee asked Bianca if she and Sherwin ever fought because of a third party, which she answered in the negative.

"Hindi, ever. Kaya ko nga love 'yun kasi nga ang talagang kalaban ko sa kaniya, trabaho. Edi sana hindi na 'ko artista kung seloso 'yun. Ito kasi 'yung craft ko eh, so he allows me to enjoy whatever I love doing," the actress and former beauty queen said.

Bianca and Sherwin will mark their sixth anniversary this November.

In March, they spent the holy week in Tokyo, Japan.
