Alden Richards credits late mom for his sympathetic trait
Alden Richards remembered his late mom as someone who was “very sympathetic,” a quality that he had learned best from her.
On Wednesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Sparkle star recalled that his mom passed away on April 8, 2008.
“Growing up, nakita ko kung gaano siya kagaling makisama sa mga tao sa paligid niya and, you know, acknowledging people kahit na from all walks of life, hindi namimili,” Alden said.
“Everyone deserves to be acknowledged. I think ‘yun ‘yung nakuha ko po, and at the same time, ‘yung having good intentions with everyone, regardless kung kakilala o hindi.”
His mom Rosario passed away due to chronic pneumonia. She dreamt for Alden to play the role of Sergio in “Marimar.”
Alden’s latest project is “Hello, Love, Again,” which is now showing in Philippine cinemas. Tickets are now available.
He stars alongside Kathryn Bernardo, and the film is a sequel to their 2019 blockbuster hit “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
"Hello, Love, Again" will also be released in North America, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, and will be screened at this year's Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles.
