Is Alden Richards courting Kathryn Bernardo? Actor answers
Is Alden Richards courting his “Hello, Love, Again” leading lady, Kathryn Bernardo?
Alden was asked the question on Wednesday’s episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” and in response, he said that what he and Kath currently have is “really deep.”
“Since I got the chance to really know her now personally, ang dami ko pong nadi-discover sa kanya, our similarities and differences in how we view life. And sobrang na-appreciate ko po ‘yung mga bagay na ino-open up niya sa akin and, you know, welcoming me to her life, and of course, the family,” Alden said.
The Sparkle star shared that he already met Kathryn’s family, and he visits them in their home whenever he can.
According to Alden, the Bernardo family are humble people.
“I see how similar our families are in terms of how we see life, how we deal with everyday, and ‘yung pagiging makatao po. That's how kung ano si Kath, ang laking factor nung family ngayon po,” he said.
Alden appreciates how they welcome him to their home and how kind they are to him.
When asked if he had told Kathryn about his intentions to her, Alden said yes.
“Siguro sa ngayon po, ayoko pong madaliin kung ano man po ‘yung pinagdadaan naming dalawa, and I think she has all the time in the world now that she's been able to try new things as well for herself,” he said.
He also confirmed that Kathryn knows his feelings.
“Right now po kasi we are just, you know, very blessed with this opportunity that we have right now and, you know, the friendship po that we have right now is deep and special. And ang laking bagay po nun kasi mas nagagawa po namin nang tama ‘yung mga bagay na dapat naming gawin in terms of the film,” he said.
In the same interview, Alden acknowledged that he had been single for the longest time now.
“I don’t know how I am in a relationship right now that my first one because ‘yung una ko po was way back when I was in high school,” he said.
He had become so focused in his career that he wonders how he will be in the present time as a partner, also saying that he is now ready to take a risk in the love department.
“Nando’n na po ako sa stage na ‘Lagi nalang ba akong nasa comfort zone?’” Alden said.
As he continues to explore, Alden said that he continues to learn things about himself, like the things he can do now for his partner.
“Kasi dati, puro ako lang po eh. Inaalagaan ko ‘yung sarili ko, siyempre para maalagaan ko ‘yung mga tao sa paligid ko. But right now, with that exploration po, nakikita ko ‘yung ‘Ah, ganito pala ako ‘no?’”
