AiAi delas Alas won't request to revoke Gerald Sibayan's green card in the US
Despite their separation, AiAi delas Alas said she would not request to revoke the United States green card of her ex-husband Gerald Sibayan.
On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Comedy Queen firmly shut down rumors saying that she would do it.
"Hindi ko naman gagawin 'yun. Siyempre husband ko pa rin siya," AiAi said.
"Parang help ko na 'yon sa kaniya, para magkaroon siya ng legal status sa America," she added.
Gerald got his green card after being petitioned by AiAi following their marriage in 2017. AiAi has been a green card holder since 2015, which makes her a lawful permanent resident of the United States.
AiAi also said that Gerald cheated on her back in 2019, which gave her trust issues.
"Siguro isa 'yon sa minsan hindi ko alam na pagtalak ko sa kanya, minsan, hindi naman mahigpit, pero 'yung tanong na, 'Asan ka na? Sabi mo, 12 andito ka na.' 'Yung mga tanong na hindi ko din napapansin," she said.
AiAi also left a message for Gerald, who is currently in the United States, wishing him happiness in life.
"I hope 'yung hindi ko pa naibigay sa 'yo na kaligayahan, sana makuha mo, and 'yung hinihiling mong anak healthy child and I wish you well kasi sa sampung taong pinagsamahan natin in fairness naman to you naging good husband ka naman and siguro ganon talaga ang buhay. Basta, sana maging masaya ka na lang," she said.
In the same interview, AiAi said one of Gerald's reasons for their separation was his desire to have children. The actress, who is already 60 years old, could no longer naturally conceive a baby.
The actress tearfully said that she and Gerald tried to conceive a child via in vitro fertilization (IVF), but they lost two of their three embryos.
AiAi and Gerald got married in 2017. They renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas in 2022.
The couple also celebrated their 10th year together in April.
