Marco Sison still trying to make sense of grandson Andrei’s death

Marco Sison still trying to make sense of grandson Andrei’s death

How is Marco Sison doing more than a year after his grandson, Andrei Sison, passed away?

On Wednesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the OPM balladeer said that he still cannot understand the reason behind his grandson's death.

Tito Boy recalled that when Andrei passed, Marco had said that others would usually say the quote, "Everything happens for a reason." At the time, he couldn't understand why his grandson had to pass away and that he would wait for the time when he finally finds the answer to his question.

“Hindi pa. Hinihintay ko pa. Dapat meron talagang may mangyaring iba na connected dun sa nangyari sa apo kong ‘yon,” he said.

“Anong reason bakit gano’n? ‘Di ba? Anong nangyayari? Bakit nangyari? So hinihintay ko ‘yon,” he added.

If there’s a song he would dedicate to Andrei, Marco agreed that it would be his biggest hit, “My Love Will See You Through.”

Andrei was only 17 years old when he and two others passed away due to a car accident in March 2023.

A month after the sad news, Marco said that Andrei was a kind and obedient child.

“He's so full of life, di ba? So promising, so talented and then wala lang. Hanggang dun lang. Hindi man lang niya naranasan 'yung sarap ng buhay ng isang tao,” he said.

Andrei is the child of Marco’s son, Alain Marco Salvador. He was a teen artist under Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
