Iya Villania shares 5th baby with Drew Arellano was not planned

Iya Villania is expecting her fifth baby with husband Drew Arellano and it's a pregnancy that came as a surprise for the Kapuso couple.

The "24 Oras" Chika Minute host shared in a recent interview on the "Updated with Nelson Canlas" podcast that their fifth baby was not planned.

"Pati kami nagulat, actually," she said, laughing. "May umaabot ba sa lima na planado? No it was not planned. Our plan is, well, sometimes it's the same but more often than not it's always different to God's plan, so no we did not plan this."

Nevertheless, the pregnancy was a great surprise for the couple, with Iya adding that she briefed Drew when she had a strong feeling that she was pregnant again.

"Brinief ko siya because every time, when people would ask, 'Are you gonna have more kids?' And I'd always be like, 'Well there's no plan but if ever, we'd welcome kung sakali' and I'd always look at Drew and Drew would always be like, 'Okay na tayo sa apat' and I'd always tell him, 'Oo nga okay na tayo sa apat but unless you're tied or I'm tied we never know what's gonna happen, di ba?'" she said.

Per the actress-host, her husband assured her that everything would be all right, saying, "Sabi niya, 'Love, kung meron, okay. Kung wala, okay pa rin.' At least klaro."

Iya and Drew confirmed her pregnancy together after she took a pregnancy test and it showed two lines.

"When we saw it, we just looked at each other and then we just started laughing and we gave each other a hug."

She also shared that her pregnancy this time is difficult since she's already 38, making her pregnancy high-risk. When she became pregnant with her eldest child, Primo, she was just 30.

"I can't deny that even as I work out, there are fears that creep into my head, your body might take things differently, it's gonna be harder," she said.

She added that her nausea and food cravings in her first trimester are worse because she wants to eat things that are not allowed for her, like raw fish.

In Iya's "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" guesting, which aired on November 1, she revealed that they are expecting a baby girl.

Iya and Drew first announced that they were pregnant with baby No. 5 in September via Instagram.

The couple got married in 2014 and have four children: Primo, Leon, Alana, and Astro.
