Mariel Rodriquez reveals her only condition for Robin Padilla
Mariel Padilla was the guest of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Thursday and gamely talked about her marriage with Senator Robin Padilla, who happens to be a Muslim.
On "Fast Talk," Mariel confirmed Muslims are allowed to have four wives. "They are allowed to marry four women," Mariel said.
When they got into a relationship, Mariel said Robin was "very clear" about his "untouchables."
"What mattered to him — his untouchables were Mindanao and his children," Mariel said.
According to Mariel, Robin had long been helping Mindanao, even before he became a public servant. "Yung donations, the service, pasta hindi pwedeng galawin ang Mindanao, and of course the children. So never kong ginalaw yon, Mindanao and his children," Mariel said.
"Ako, I only one condition. It can only be me," she revealed.
According to Mariel, Robin acquiesced. "And to this day, he's working very, very hard to keep that promise," Mariel said.
Mariel and Robin got married in 2010.
They have two daughters, Isabella and Gabriela.
On "Fast Talk," Mariel said "this is probably one of the best times of my life."
"I'm very happy," she said. "I don't think I've ever been more content."
